Why
Tokyo Bill?
My friends Paige and Cooper gave me the name. “Tokyo” came from Paige joking that I was Tokyo drifting between destinations. “Bill” came later, on a photo and camping trip to Utah.
I kept rounding everyone up for the next sunset, sunrise, moonrise, or Milky Way shot. There was always a little urgency: light moves, the sky changes, and the moment won’t wait. Paige and Cooper said I was like Bill Paxton in Twister, chasing the next storm—except my storm was a photograph.
So Tokyo Bill stuck. I’m Casey Haynes, based in Bend, Oregon. This is where I keep the moments I went out to find.
